so i went to this tatskatytöt (tattoo girls) speed dating event in kallio, helsinki. i went there by myself because my friend iida, whose idea this originally was, got sick.
well, to be fair, not one single guy there was even remotely dateable. they were all pretty terrible. it was depressing and discouraging.
i don't want to be mean, but the vibes i got from the guys were those of ABSOLUTE LOSERS. a 50-year old construction entrepreneur asking me, a 28-year old girl, on a date; a BUNCH of it nerds (there were so many?? did they come there as a pack [and don't get me wrong, nerdy guys can be cute, but these were not the cute kind...]); guys who were just PLAIN BORING with NO STYLE – all of it just made me feel so alone. not a single person did i resonate with in the slightest.
i guess the silver lining here can be that i now know for certain that the love of my life wasn't to be found there and that i wouldn't have missed anything by not going to the event.
